Supporting and protecting the right to mine ferris ore (red ore and taconite) and non-ferris ore (copper, nickel, cobalt, titanium, platinum, palladium, and other rare earths.)

Now our Governor Ding-Bat Walz has put an Executive Order banning all non-ferris mining in Minnesota. He claims it is to protect the BWCAW (Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness) claiming that within the Rainy River Headwaters Watershed the mining would affect the BWCAW. The reason he says is light and noise pollution. Evidently he does not recognize the continental divide (Laurention divide). North of the divide water flows north and east and south of the divide it flows south and west (Mississippi River Watershed). NorthMet mining area would be south of the divide not in the Rainy River Headwaters Watershed.

The only reason is to put a little hurt on the Iron Range. In our BPOU Trump won big in the last election and our state representatives and senators won by large margins. Gov Ding-Bat wanted to teach us a lesson for voting the way we did.

NorthMet-Copper-Nickel-Platinum-Project was originally Polymet but merged with other investors to become NorthMet. Activity preparing for mining was started in 2001 and after 2 years all regulations had been made and they were ready to proceed. Then came all the legal rambling and after $200 million and 25 years it still remains in the planning stages.
